Proud to launch a new collaboration with the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC)
WizeCare is now supporting ACL surgery patients—ages 13 and up—across Mississippi through a telerehabilitation program designed to improve access and recovery, especially in rural communities.
After ACL surgery, early and consistent rehabilitation is critical. A structured post-op rehab protocol is essential to restoring function, ensuring the surgery is successful, and preventing complications. Unfortunately, many patients delay or miss follow-up care due to long travel times, lack of transportation, or limited local access.
Now, with WizeCare’s digital platform, patients can begin their rehab journey within days of surgery—from the comfort of home—while staying connected to licensed physical therapists.

This meaningful initiative is led by:
Dr. Saurabh Chandra MD, PhD, MBA, Chief Telehealth Officer, Center for Telehealth
Dr. Jacob Daniels , PT, DPT, EdD, Assistant Professor and Director of Research, School of Health Related Professions
Dr. Derrick Burgess, MD, FAAOS, Orthopedic Surgeon
We’re proud to join UMMC in making recovery more timely, accessible, and patient-centered.
This project is supported by the HRSA National Telehealth Centers of Excellence, highlighting the national importance of expanding digital care to underserved communities.
It was great catching up with the team at the recent ATA conference—check out the poster they presented, included here!
